Tryouts!

Tryouts for The Murder Room have been scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday January 14th and 16th at 7pm in the Elkader Opera House. This promises to be a fun show to do from beginning to end for cast, crew and audience. If you want to fill it out early, the tryout sheet is available in PDF format here. Remember to enter by the side door for tryouts. With the construction going on in the lobby, it's just much easier. Also, with all the construction work and some of the furnace capacity not back online, I would suggest dressing warmly for tryouts.

The show requires 6 cast members, 3 men and 3 women. They all are extraordinary characters and with such a small cast, obviously all are important to the production.

Is there a place for you? Here's a quick description of the cast, in no particular order.

Mr. Hollister / The Constable - An middle aged gentleman of late 40's early 50's. Well to do.

Mavis - A younger, late 20's early 30's women, attractive, dresses to kill. (pun intended)

Housekeeper - An elderly women who has been the housekeeper for Mr. Hollister (and the former Mrs. Hollister) for years.

The Inspector - a dashing gentleman in his late 20's early 30's.

The daughter - A young (early 20's) woman just returned from education in America.

Her Fiance - A young (early 20's) Texas millionaire.
